Coffee sizes

Compare the sizes for your drink, and know what to ask before choosing a larger cup.

Flat white

Start with your drink

The size choices depend on what you order. A hot coffee and its iced version may have different options, so check the individual drink rather than assuming everything comes in Small, Regular, and Large.

Some examples:

  • Americano and Black Coffee (Drip): Small or Regular.
  • Latte: Small or Regular.
  • Iced Americano and Iced Latte: Small, Regular, or Large.
  • Espresso Frappe: Small, Regular, or Large.
  • Flat White: Small, 210 ml.

Size and strength are different

Small is a size label, not a universal volume. The Flat White's 210 ml serving does not mean that every Small drink has the same capacity. If the amount matters to you, ask about the cup volume.

A bigger cup does not automatically mean more espresso. The balance of coffee, water, milk, and ice can change with the drink and its size. For a stronger coffee taste, ask about the number of shots rather than choosing by cup size alone.

Before ordering

Decide whether you want more to drink or a different coffee intensity. That makes it easier to explain your preference. For help choosing the drink itself, see Choosing a coffee.

Sizes and availability vary by café.
